E-Submission: Ask A CGH Therapist

Just made an e-submission to Changi General Hospital regarding mum's condition...

Hi,

I would like to check with you, regarding my mum's condition... My mum's hand is very swollen, to the extend she got difficulties bending her fingers. She went for an x-ray & and the cause of it is unknown.. but she's been arranged to undergo an op sometime after CNY, in hope to find out the true cause of it...

At one point, while she was outside, she felt very tiring just by casual walking... to the extend, every few steps she took, she need to stop and rest for a period... she finds it very worrying & seek advise from a Chinese physician. According to the physician, my mum's suffering from water retention. Did some treatment for her & gave her some oral medicine, said to help reduce the water retention. And surprisingly, mum said she felt better!

But 2 days ago, she said that the water retention problem seems to be coming back... and she mentioned tat the physician said that 'westernized acupuncture' sees results faster & better...

Hence, i tried to do some web search & one of the links directed me to the below URL:

May i know if there are cases like that of my mum's before? And the link that i was redirected to, do they provide such services (acupuncture for reducing of water retention)? In fact, I'm kind of suspicious that her swollen hands might be due to it too... Please kindly enlighten me. Thanks a million! And, Happy Chinese New Year~
