The Jamie Lynn Spears pregnancy announcement has started a media firestorm. Celebrities have been asked to comment on the pregnancy, journalists on all sides have given their two cents, Nickelodeon is considering how to handle the news and now legal questions have been raised. Spears, sister of pop star Britney Spears and star of Nickelodeon's Zoey 101, came out in the open yesterday with news of her pregnancy at the age of 16 and now may have to face some legal ramifications. Spears has admitted that the father of her unborn child is 18-year old boyfriend Casey Aldridge. That he is 18 and Spears a minor brings up some sticky questions of statutory rape.
