GRAINY look - Good for Exfoliating!

Aspirin is actually acetylsalicylic / salicylic acid (aka BHA or beta hydroxy acid), the same chemical used in many drugstore and prescription acne products. Besides fighting blemishes, it also doubles up as an excellent exfoliator, great for clearing out whiteheads / blackheads. Using it as a mask therefore gives you a slight peel effect, tightens up the pores and leave your skin feeling baby smooth~

It supposedly helps to improve the appearance of wrinkles and mild pigmentation in skin, even preventing skin cancer!

Additional ingredients that can be added into D.I.Y Aspirin Mask~
* aloe vera
* cosmetic clay
* tea tree oil
* honey
* yogurt or heavy cream (for a combo of AHA & BHA) & etc.

Below to use with precaution:
* Under 16 years of age (unless directed by a doctor)
* Pregnant / nursing women

Tip: Always wash your hands first before washing your face as your hands often will have unseen germs and dirt on them. Start with washing your face with warm water, apply mask, then afterwards always rinse with warm water, and lastly splash with cold water to close pores.

Why does it work?
Aspirin is actually a form of Beta Hydroxy Acids or BHA’s, which are found in many skin creams and work by exfoliating the dull, dead layers of skin, revealing fresh new skin underneath. Over time, BHA’s can help clarify skin tone and promote healing of blemishes.

However, do not use the aspirin mask if you have a sensitivity to BHA’s or if you have very sensitive skin, or obviously if you are allergic to aspirin!

How do you make it?
The Aspirin mask must be made with uncoated, dissolvable tablets. Take two or three tablets and dissolve in a teaspoon/tablespoon of warm water.

To Apply
Spread the mixture on the face, avoiding the eye area and leave for a few minutes until it dries. Very gently rub the mask for about 10 seconds, to exfoliate the skin. Rinse off with tepid water. Remember to moisturise as BHA’s can be drying.
