Answer
Your pet’s ear condition seems severe. I'll not encourage you to try treating him by yourself.

He extremely needs veterinary intervention. Inappropriate medication can make the problem worse posing permanent damage and hearing loss. You can just clean outside part with cotton ball wet sterile saline.

Veterinary cost wise please contact our veterinary clinics.

Title: Goat's milk for dog?

Hi doc,

I've been feeding my female dog and her puppies goat's milk. Previously wen i jus bought her, the pet farm oso instructed me to feed with goat's milk powder mixed with dry food, as cow's milk gt lactose. i bought a tin of milk replacement at first but it seems oilier & harder to dissolve & dun reli smell good. so i went to buy the goat's milk instead.

And my other dog wans it too! I'm tinkin if it's okay for dogs to drink goat's milk everyday, mixed wit their dry food (jus like how we eat our cornflakes)? Cos they are too pampered wit cooked food & wun eat dry food.. tat seems the onli way they will enjoy their dry food!

And when is the best time i should bring the pups for vaccinations? One of the puppy 5 toes on each of its hind legs.. supposedly 4. Dew claws i checked... now he is alady 1 mth old.. advisable to remove it? or shd i jus leave it as it is?

Answer
Yes, goat’s milk is the best suitable for puppies. You may want to try PLC’s brand Esbilac goat’s milk-based formula which is best recommended for growing puppies and for their nursing mother.

Puppy preventative health schedule start at 3 weeks of age to checked for tummy worms. Initial injection for the vaccination series starts at 6 weeks of age, nevertheless interval of succeeding doses vary on the risk of exposure.
